Entry-Level WordPress Web Developer

• Pay Grade: This position falls within the fresher level of the company’s pay scale with a salary range of 12,000 to 15,000 rupees per month.
• Reporting Person: This position directly reports to the Senior Web Developer.
• Shift Timing: The expected hours for this position are 10.30 am to 7.30 pm, with a total of eight hours of work.
• Department Name: This position resides in the Development and Website Designing department.
• Location: This role will be primarily located in our New Alipore, Calcutta office, with some remote flexibility.

Job Summary:

• Job Purpose: The primary purpose of this role within SEO ORB is to ensure proper maintenance of our clients’ websites, and to meet the requirements set out by the senior web developers. The individual in this role will be responsible for executing minor updates on websites, ensuring that all plugins and technical stacks are current and initiating regular backups of client websites.
• Job Importance: This role significantly contributes to SEO ORB’s overall goals by aiding in the maintenance and optimization of our clients’ websites, thereby improving their online presence, driving traffic, and ultimately augmenting lead generation and conversions.
• Job Significance: The WordPress Web Developer plays a vital role in supporting the technical operations of the company. They work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure the smooth running of client websites, which is crucial for our clients’ satisfaction and business success.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Maintenance and update of clients’ websites in coordination with the Senior Web Developers.
• Optimization of blog posts for SEO.
• Ensuring the plugins and technical stacks are up-to-date.
• Regular backup of client websites.
• Uploading and optimizing blog posts for SEO.
• Initiating regular backups of client websites.

• Deadline: The WordPress Web Developer is expected to work within the project timelines and meet deadlines without compromising the quality of work.

Qualification:

• Education: The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Prior work experience is not necessary, but basic knowledge of WordPress, SEO optimization, and keyword research tools is preferred.
• Overall Qualification: Certification in web development or a related field is advantageous.

Working Conditions:

• Start Time: The workday begins at 10:30 am.
• Finish Time: The workday ends at 7:30 pm.
• Working Hours: The role is expected to work for 40-45 hours per week.
• Lunch / Tea Breaks: Multiple tea breaks and a half-hour lunch break are provided throughout the workday.
• Travel Hours: The role requires a commute to our New Alipore, Calcutta location within 45 minutes to an hour.
